The Hereford Times has breaking news of a potential prisoner exchange between Royalist forces trapped in the Foy enclave and the Anglicans in Ross that may involve the Bishop of Hereford that was captured a month or so ago by the Royalists.

BUF sources deny this and say they will prevent the surrender of the Bishop to the rebels, whilst the newly formed socialist trades union of the Amalgamated Hop Pickers Union & Related Specialists (pronounced Ah P URS)http://thelostcityofcarcosa.com/a-very-british-civil-war/avbcw-the-amalgamated-hop-pickers-union-related-specialists/, have also vowed to halt any such transfer of such a high profile figure.

YES !
JP & I are planning our next Big Game, for March the 8th 2014.
Partly to ensure JP can actually turn up at one of the games he helps organise (and for which I get too much kudos)
Partly to ensure that during negotiations between Ladies & Gentlemen and their respective families during the Xmas period due thought and consideration is given to events in the New Year. (AKA this is a bargaining chip)
Oh and so we can paint and prepare any new figures and associated items well before then....

As you can tell, we are looking for:
- Anglicans
- Royalists
- BUF
- Rural Socialists

And of course we may shoe horn in lions, scarecrows, Morris Dancers and other sundry commonplace events in deepest darkest Hereford. Both JP and I have Swedes (not the ones that grow in the ground) ! :vbcw

As usual, to be held in Burley Gate Village Hall, 10-11am til 6pm, followed by curry and drinks at my place (assuming my builders have finished the job).
As usual £10 per head including the ever excellent buffet laid on by Rosie. :Ooo

Whilst this is very early and we do not expect firm commitments of interest...any interest shown by gents (or ladies) would be welcome. I believe following the last Big Game a few Gents and their factions have scores to settle. ;-)

Would you take a new recruit ? I've collected a BUF Force and a French early WW2 force for use as French equipped Anglicans over the last couple of years but have yet to get them "on the table". A commitment to bringing some forces along in March will be just the thing to get me painting them again over Christmas and the New Year ! And it happens that I can sort out my own accommodation in Hereford. What rules will you be using ?

Of course !
We actively welcome newcomers as much as the old lags. :D

Rules will be "Went the Day Well ?".
Our friend Ook! who wrote them may well have provided some revised/expanded rules by then and we may use them to help him play test them.

We will use Mort's platoon generator, so aim for a command squad, 3 sections of 10 figures, a support weapon and up to two A N Other units most likely vehicles or oddball AVBCW heath-robinson contraptions. JP & I will be incontact with confirmed players in the weeks beforehand to ensure all the tables and forces are balanced given the scenario(s).

Sadly as JP has noted the date of the March 8th, is set in stone following negotiations with management.
