That's brilliant! I'm going to be there next week. I wonder if Memsahib will let me sneak off to Widow Cullen's Well just out of shot, my favourite pub in Lincoln...... although there's plenty of stiff competition!

my office used to be just through 'Exchequer Gate' and to the right - in the Bishop's Old Palace, next to the Cathedral.
This shot is taken from the Castle - Norman on top of a Roman fort.
My present office is about fifteen minutes on the left - Outside of the Roman settlement in Newport (so called because that's where the Saxon's were re-housed when the Normans cleared the area for their new Castle) - through the Roman arch.
Lincoln has a very well preserved set of Roman ruins

Stood in pretty much the exact spot that the photo was taken from today. Thoroughly enjoyed the prison and seeing the Magna Carta. Both were almost as good as a couple of pints at my favourite pub!

Since retired & no longer have an office .....

But very nice Picture attached - taken from the University ...
