It's about time I posted some pictures of my own VBCW forces (some of you may have seen these already on the Lead Adventure Forum):

My first offering is simple country folk. Although these could be used for any faction with a change of command figures, thet will initially be used for the Dorset Clubmen - the aggressively neutral populace of the Dorset villages and country towns. Concept based on the clubmen of the English Civil War - if you come looking to relieve them of their livestock, fuel or vehicles they will rise up an attack you. they will defend their livestock, fuel and vehicles from any faction seeking to take them.

Men in tweed:

Armed country folk (please excuse the poor quality picture, but the light this morning was terrible):

More of these soonish, but first I am working on some opposition for them.

Very very good. I like these a lot, particularly the shooting party - lovely sculpts.

Any particular message behind your choice of flag - itself a very well painted object?

The flag is the Cerne Giant - a chalk figure on the hillside at Cerne Abbas in Dorset. Perfect image for my clubmen (following their English Civil War predecessors these guys are aggressively neutral -any faction that tries to take their livestock, fuel or vehicles will be in for a shock. Transport for these coming soon, plus armed schoolboys from a local boarding school's OCF.

This weekend was spent finishing off a couple of painting projects and my first VBCW vehicle conversion. It still needs weathering, but here is the Sherborne Motors Armoured Carrier:

Vehicle by Lledeo (plus plasticard), weapon is a 1/48 Vickers K gun, figure is head-changed from Redoubt Boxer Rebellion range.

Very nice, I shall have to get back to work on the Experimentals As the plastic ex Michelin Tyre van that I was converting as transport suffered glue falur nd slippd from its base during varnishing suffereing a broken near side mud guard. The peices are in a box and I shall have to find ways to make an armoured box to "harden" the front wheel. The armoured grill to the front of th van has given some inspiration abot how this might be done. Thank you !
